£2m paid-out by council to injured staff

Leicester City Council has paid out £2million in compensation to injured staff members over the last five years. Figures released by the council showed that a total of 151 claims had been settled with injured employees since 2006. This cost the council around £700,000, and a total of £1.23 million in legal fees. The council said that all of the individual claims were fully investigated before payouts were made to employees.
